Ingredients:


2 pounds salt

1 pound sugar

1 pound brown sugar

1/2 ounce salt peter

1/2 teaspoon red pepper

1 teaspoon black pepper
 

Preparation / Directions:


Boil together with 1 gallon water and let cool. Add enough boiled cool water to cover [meat]. Keep in cellar or cool place. Will keep until used up.
