Ingredients:


1 cup flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/8 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon baking soda

1/3 cup vegetable oil

1 cup culture

1 cup flour

1 cup culture
 

Preparation / Directions:


Combine all ingredients in mixing bowl, stir just until mixed. Turn out onto floured board and knead lightly 2 or 3 turns. Pat into circle about 1/2 inch thick. Cut and place in greased 9 X 9 X 2 pan. Brush tops lightly with oil and bake 15 to 18 minutes at 400. Remove from pan and serve. Note: If you wish to use these for shortcakes add 2 Tablespoons sugar with the flour and sprinkle the tops with sugar before baking
