Ingredients:


1 pound strong plain flour

1 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda

1 teaspoon mixed spice

2 ounces margarine -- melted

2 ounces light golden soft sugar

1 teaspoon treacle

6 ounces sultanas

2 ounces seedless raisins

8 ounces currants

1 ounce mixed peel

1 medium orange and 1 lemon -- rind of

11 ounces warmed milk
 

Preparation / Directions:


Pre heat oven to 190C. Grease a 2lb loaf tin. Put all ingredients into a bowl and stir together to form a soft dropping consistency. Spoon into a loaf tin. Bake for 1 hour or until a skewer when inserted comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.
