Wampus Bread

Ingredients:


2 cups cornmeal

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 tablespoons baking powder

1 teaspoon sugar

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup minced onion

1 cup peeled shredded potato

1 cup evaporated milk

1 cup Vegetable oil
 

Preparation / Directions:


Combine first 5 ingredients, mixing well; stir in onion, potato, and milk. Drop by tablespoonfuls into hot oil (375 F). Cook until golden brown (3 to 5 minutes), turning once. Drain on paper towels.
