Crunchy Oven French Toast |

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups skim milk |
2 tablespoons honey |
1 teaspoon almond extract |
4 large eggs -- lightly beaten or 1 cup egg substitute |
2 cups crushed whole-grain wheat flake cereal |
16 slices white bread -- 1 ounce slices |
1 spray cooking spray |
1 cup maple syrup |

Preparation / Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 425 oF. 2. Combine first 4 ingredients in a shallow bowl; stir with a whisk until well blended. Place crushed cereal in a shallow dish. Quickly dip both sides of each bread slice in milk mixture; dredge in cereal. 3. Place bread slices on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray. Bake at 425 oF for 5 minutes. Turn bread slices over; bake an additional 5 minutes or until golden. Serve warm with syrup.
