OPEN FACE CHILE BURGERS

Ingredients:


1 1/2 pounds ground beef

1/2 cup chopped onion

1 can tomato sauce -- (8 oz.)

1 package taco seasoning mix -- (1 1/4 oz.)

6 Medium hamburger buns

12 slices tomato

1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese -- (4 oz.)

3/4 cup shredded lettuce

1/4 cup chopped stuffed olives

1 small onion -- cut into rings and

1 1/2 tablespoons chopped red and green chiles
 

Preparation / Directions:


Brown beef and onion in a large skillet, stirring to crumble; drain. Stir in tomato sauce and taco seasoning; simmer 5 minutes. Split and toast hamburger buns; spread with meat mixture. Place tomato slice on each sandwich, and sprinkle with cheese; bake at 400 F for 4 minutes or until cheese melts. Top with lettuce, olives, onion, and chiles.
