Preparation / Directions:In a large saucepan or skillet (not aluminum) bring water to a boil over
moderately high heat; add
cabbage, vinegar and salt, stir to mix. Cover pot and cook over moderately
low heat for 20-25
minutes until cabbage is wilted and tender. Add apples and sugar to pot
and cook 5 minutes longer
