Creole Chili Con Carne

Ingredients:


2 tablespoons salad oil

1/2 cup onions -- minced

1/4 cup celery -- diced

1/2 cup green bell pepper -- chopped

3/4 pound ground beef -- lean

1 tablespoon flour -- all-purpose

1 can red beans w/chili gravy -- (16oz

1 cup water

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon hot pepper sauce

1 teaspoon steak sauce

1 package crackers

3 Cup rice -- cooked
 

Preparation / Directions:


1. Heat oil in large skillet; sauté onion, celery and bell pepper until golden. 2. Stir in beef; sauté until red color disappears. 3. Stir in flour; add kidney beans, water, salt, pepper sauce and steak sauce. 4. Simmer, stirring often, until desired thickness. 5. Serve with crackers or rice.
