Preparation / Directions:In Dutch oven or kettle, combine beef, water, onion, tomato sauce, cabbage, bouillon cubes, sugar, salt, pepper and cloves. Bring to boil, simmer covered for 2 hrs.
Add turnips, macaroni and beans. Simmer uncovered for 20 or 30 minutes more, or until tender.
