Chocolate Pumpkin Cake

Ingredients:


2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

3/4 cup cocoa

2 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup margarine or butter -- softened

1 cup packed brown sugar

1 cup granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 3/4 cups pumpkin -- solid pack

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate morsels

---GLAZE---

1 cup powder sugar

1 tablespoon milk

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1/8 teaspoon pumpkin spice
 

Preparation / Directions:


Combine: flour, cocoa, baking powder, pumpkin pie spice, baking soda and salt in medium bowl. In large mixer bowl, beat margarine and sugar until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in pumpkin and vanilla. Greadually, beat in flour mixture; stir in chocolate morsels. Bake in a tube pan 325 deg F 55-60 min. Cool 30 minutes and remove from pan to wire rack. Glaze: Mix in bowl. Spread on cake.
