Grandma Evelyn's Caramel Cream Cake

Ingredients:


2 cups fishers blend pastry flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup riverview butter

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 cup riverview milk

4 large egg whites
 

Preparation / Directions:


Sift flour and baking powder 3 times. Cream sugar and butter thoroughly, add flavoring, then flour and milk alternately. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Bake in two large layer cake tins in a moderate oven (375 F) 20 to 25 minutes. Spread with Caramel filling.
