GUMDROP CAKE

Ingredients:


1 1/2 Cup sugar

1/2 Cup shortening

2 large eggs

1 pound raisins

1 pound gumdrops

1 Cup walnuts

1 1/2 Cup applesauce

4 Cup flour

1 teaspoon soda dissolved in 1 T water

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon vanilla
 

Preparation / Directions:


Cream sugar and shortning; beat eggs and add to creamed mixture. Mis the rest of the ingredients together. Divide batter into loaf pans lined with wax paper. Bake at 350 degree for 1 hour. (this can be used and Christmas fruit cake)
