Ro*tel Chicken Tortilla Casserole (King Ranch Casserole)

Ingredients:


1/4 cup margarine

1 medium green bell pepper -- chopped

1 medium onion -- chopped

1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup

1 can condensed cream of chicken soup

2 cans ro*tel dicedtomatoes and green chilies

2 cups cooked chicken -- diced

12 tortillas corn tortillas -- torn into bite-size pieces

2 cups cheddar cheese -- shredded (8 oz)
 

Preparation / Directions:


Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. In a large saucepan, cook pepper and onion in margarine until tender, about 5 minutes. Add soups, Ro*Tel and chicken stirring until well blended. In a prepared, buttered, large 4-quart oblong casserole dish alternate layers of tortillas, soup mixture, and cheese repeating for 3 layers. Bake 40 minutes or until hot and bubbling.
