Ingredients:


2 Cups turnips (peel and cut into 1 inch cubes) cook, cool and mash

1 Cup bread diced (heels, whole wheat, etc)

1/2 Cup butter (melted)

3 tablespoons sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

2 large Eggs (whisked)

1 dash Cinnamon or Allspice
 

Preparation / Directions:


▪ (Pre-heat oven to 350 F. ▪ Grease deep casserole dish. (1-quart) ▪ Boil Turnips until done. (drain & allow to cool) ▪ Melt butter. ▪ Combine turnips, bread, butter, sugar, salt, pepper, eggs & spice. ▪ Beat until well blended. ▪ Place mixture into buttered 1-quart casserole dish. ▪ Bake turnip puff at 350° for 45 minutes. (uncovered)
