Johna Blinn's Chocolate Chip Cookies |

Ingredients:
1/2 pound butter |
3/4 cup light brown sugar |
3/4 cup granulated sugar |
2 large eggs -- beaten |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1 teaspoon hot water |
2 1/4 cups sifted all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon or more dark creme de cacao -- (for flavor) |
6 ounces chocolate chips |
1 cup macadamia nuts -- chopped |

Preparation / Directions:
Makes 7 dozen cookies
1. Cream together butter and sugars; add beaten eggs and remaining ingredients in order listed.
2. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts last.
3. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet; bake in preheated 375 F. oven 10 to 12 minutes, or until cookies are lightly browned.
