Brown Sugar Frosted Cookies

Ingredients:


1 cup butter

1 cup sugar

1 cup pumpkin

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup chopped dates or raisins

1/2 cup chopped nuts

---Icing:

1/2 cup brown sugar

3/4 teaspoon vanilla

1/4 cup milk

1 cup powdered sugar

3 tablespoon butter
 

Preparation / Directions:


Cream together butter and sugar. Add next 3 ingred-ients and mix well. Sift dry ingredients and blend into creamed mixture. Stir in dates or raisins and nuts. Drop onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes. Cool on racks and prepare icing. Icing: In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, milk and butter. Cook 2 minutes. Remove from heat. Let cool. Stir in vanilla and powdered sugar.
