Preparation / Directions:
Put bacon slices on the bottom of a cast iron skillet. Next slice potatoes and onion place in layers, sprinkling a little salt, pepper and garlic powd along the way. Put about 1/2 stick of butter cut in slices on the top and along the side of pan. Cover with cast iron lid or tin foil. Keep checking to make sure the potatoes are not sticking and turn everything over after bacon has cooked. After potatoes are done, sprinkle cheeder cheese on top a let melt. I found it is better not to put the lid back on after the cheese. We have these for breakfast and supper!!
