Tomato And Balsamic Vinaigrette

Ingredients:


4 large ripe tomatoes -- see * note

1/2 cup minced onion

1 tablespoon basil chiffonade

3 ounces twelve-year-old balsamic vinegar

1 dash olive oil -- optional - to taste

1 teaspoon salt -- to taste

1/2 teaspoon freshly-ground black pepper -- to taste
 

Preparation / Directions:


* Note: The tomatoes may be charred on the grilled for a different flavor if desired. Seed and mince the tomatoes, add the onions, basil and vinegar.
