Glazed Ham

Ingredients:


4 pound BAKED HAM OR 4 POUNDS OF HAM

1 can BEER

1 teaspoon POWDER MUSTARD

1 cup BROWN SUGAR

2 whole CLOVES
 

Preparation / Directions:


PUT THE HAM ON TOP OF A BAKING PAN COVERED WITH EXTRA-THICK SHEET OF ALUMINUM FOIL. LIFT THE FOIL EDGES. COVER THE HAM WITH BEER AND SEAL THE FOIL EDGES SO THAT IT WONT´T LET OUT THE STEAM. PUT THE HAM IN THE OVEN AT 300º F. FOR AN HOUR, OPEN THE FOIL, LOWER IT SO THAT IT LOOKS LIKE A TRAY FOR THE HAM. MIX THE POWDER MUSTARD TOGETHER WITH THE BROWN SUGAR AND HAM JUICE IN A BIG CUP, FORMING A LIGHT PASTE. COVER THE HAM WITH THE PASTE, DECORATE IT WITH THE CLOVES IN SHAPE OF DIAMONDS or OTHER PATTERN, RAISE OVEN TEMPERATURE FOR 1 MORE HOUR, UNTIL THE SURFACE TURNS GLOSSY. SERVE IT EITHER HOT OR COLD, IT´LL BE SOFT AND JUICY BOTH WAYS.
