Brown-Sugar Hot Chocolate

Ingredients:


3 ounces unsweetened chocolate

1/3 cup water

1 quart milk -- heated (4 cups)

3/4 cup packed brown sugar

1/8 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon peppermint cane or stick for garnish
 

Preparation / Directions:


Stir chocolate and water in a medium saucepan over low heat until chocolate has melted (mixture will thicken)., Gradually whisk in milk, then sugar and salt until evenly blended. To serve: Reheat in a saucepan over medium-low heat or in microwave, stirring occasionally. Serve with peppermint-cane stirrer.
