Ingredients:

2 tablespoons olive oil

3/4 cup onion -- chopped

2 cloves garlic -- minced

2 cans tomato paste

2 1/2 cups water

1 1/4 tablespoons oregano

1 1/4 tablespoons basil

1 teaspoon salt -- to taste

1/8 tablespoon pepper

4 ounces mushrooms

1 Cup grated parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons olive oil

3/4 cup onion -- chopped

1 1/4 tablespoons basil

1 teaspoon salt -- to taste

1/8 tablespoon pepper

4 ounces mushrooms

1 Cup grated parmesan cheese
 

Preparation / Directions:


Serve with macaroni or your choice of pasta. Heat oil in heavy saucepan, sauté‚garlic and onion till tender. Combine remaining [not cheese] and stir into garlic mixture. Cook sauce until it is as thick as you like. Ten minutes before serving stir cheese into sauce. It is really good if you toss parmesan cheese into your pasta before serving. As much or little as you like.
