Ingredients:


1 teaspoon methi -- (fenugreek)

2 tablespoons chana dal

4 tablespoons coriander seeds

4 medium red chilies -- (to 5)

1 teaspoon asafetida -- optional

3 tablespoons grated coconut

3 tablespoons oil
 

Preparation / Directions:


Roast methi, chana daal, and asafetida. Add chilies when daal starts getting red. If using dry coconut, soak it in a little water and blend the daal mixture and coconut until the paste is fine. Keep aside.
