Preparation / Directions:
1. Thoroughly combine melted butter and cocoa; add applesauce.
2. Combine flour, sugar, baking soda, spices and salt in a mixing bowl; blend in cocoa mixture and egg until dry ingredients are moistened. Stir in nuts.
3. Fill 12 greased or paper-lined muffin cups (2 1/2 inches in diameter) two-thirds full with batter; bake in preheated 350 F. oven 20 minutes, or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.
4. Drizzle Confectioners' Sugar Glaze on muffins.
