Carolina Sweet Chops

Ingredients:


4 chops bone-in pork chops -- 3/4 inch thick

1/2 cup rum or orange juice

1/3 cup sliced green onions

1/4 cup snipped dates

1/2 cup steak sauce

1/4 cup molasses

2 tablespoons chopped parsley

1 teaspoon minced garlic

1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper

1 dash onion powder

1 dash salt
 

Preparation / Directions:


In a bowl, combine all ingredients except chops. Pour into a 13x9x2-inch baking dish. Brush chops lightly with a little oil and brown quickly on each side in a hot skillet; arrange browned chops on top of date mixture. Bake uncovered, in a 350 degree oven 25-30 minutes, until chops are done.
