Preparation / Directions:SYRUP Combine the ingredients in an oven proof pudding dish. Place in the oven and heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar has dissolved.
BATTER Cream butter and sugar then beat in the egg. Add flour and mix in the milk. Pour the batter into the syrup and bake in a hot oven for 30 minutes. Serve with thick cream.
