Colonial Bread Pudding

Ingredients:


2 cups dry breadcrumbs

4 cups half and half

1 cup sugar

2 teaspoons unsalted butter

1/4 teaspoon unsalted butter

1/4 teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

5 large egg

2 teaspoons vanilla

1/2 cup seedless raisins
 

Preparation / Directions:


Combine breadcrumbs and half and half-mix well allow to soad for 8-10 minutes add the remaining ingredients-mix well pour into a buttered baking dish place into a larger baking pan pour boiling water into the larger pan-halfway up the sides of the smaller pan bake @ 350 degrees for 60 minutes, until golden serve warm, slightly chilled, or at room temperature
