Pudim De Bananas (Banana Pudding)

Ingredients:


12 medium bananas

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup white port

3 tablespoons butter

1 cup sugar

6 large eggs -- beaten
 

Preparation / Directions:


Cook bananas in a little water. When soft, drain and force through a sieve or food mill into a bowl. Add the wine and butter, and beat well together; then add sugar and beaten eggs. When the mixture is quite smooth, pour into a buttered 2-quart souffle dish and bake in preheated slow oven (325 F.) for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Makes 8 servings.
