Ingredients:

Preparation / Directions:Heat oil in a heavy saucepan; add onion, cinnamon, clove, and cardamom seed.
Saute until onion is tender.
Add rice, turmeric, ginger, and allspice; cook over medium heat 10 minutes,
stirring frequently. Add water and salt; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce
heat, and simmer 20 minutes or until liquid is absorbed. Remove whole
spices.
