Preparation / Directions:This is great for securing wet hair after washing because it doesn't fall off. This would also make a nice gift for someone (and especially nice for someone undergoing chemotherapy, to keep their head warm after a shower)
This is an easy pattern to draft. You will need a piece of paper approximately 28"x12". Draw a line 27" long across bottom of paper. At the center of the 27" line, (13 1/2 inches from either end) draw a line up 10". Then 2" over from left, go up 4", and 5" from right go up 10". Between the 2" and center go 7.5" and 9". Between center and 5" cocntinue at 10". Then just connect the dots.
Cut out two pieces of terry cloth (I used a towel) and stitch the seam along the curved edge. You can bind your seams, but I serged mine. You may finish the raw edge as you prefer. Then sew a loop (I used round elastic) to the inside of the narrow end, and a button to the outside of the wide end. (I do believe that it would be more sturdy if the loop was sewn into the end of the seam.)
To wear, put the button end at the back of your head. Twist the front and attach the loop around the button. WORKS WONDERFULL
