Cherry Sauce - Mountain Fuel

Ingredients:


1 can pitted dark sweet cherries -- 9 oz reserved liquid

1 tablespoon sugar

1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch

1/4 teaspoon almond extract -- or

1/4 teaspoon imitation brandy -- or imitation rum extract
 

Preparation / Directions:


Drain cherries, reserving liquid. In a small pan combine reserved liquid, sugar, and cornstarch. Cook, stirring constantly, over medium high flame until sauce boils and thickens. Remover from flame and stir in cherries and almond extract.
