Fresh Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients:


1 pound cranberry

5 cups water

2 cups sugar

1/4 cup unsalted butter

1 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons vanilla

1/2 cup sour cream
 

Preparation / Directions:


combine cranberries, sugar, and water in a saucepan, over a moderate flame heat to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 30-35 minutes, stirring often transfer to a food processor or blender pulse to process to a coarse puree return to the saucepan, over a low flame add butter and salt heat and stir to melt butter remove from heat stir in vanilla cool to room temperature fold in sour cream-mix well serve immediately
