Broiled Scallops with Lemon

Ingredients:


2 pounds scallops -- bay or ocean

1 teaspoon salt and pepper

6 bunch basil leaves chopped

2 bunch rosemary sprigs -- crushed

1 medium lemon -- thinly sliced

1 dash Tabasco to taste

1/4 cup vegetable oil
 

Preparation / Directions:


Bay scallops remain whole. Ocean scallops, halve. Place in bowl with remaining ingredients and marinate 2 hours or longer. Remove and arrange in one layer in baking dish. Broil 3 minutes, turn and broil 3 minutes longer until barely cooked through. Don't overcook or they will toughen
