Basic Candy Popcorn

Ingredients:


1/2 cup Water

1 cup Sugar

3/8 cup White corn syrup

1 tablespoon Butter

1 teaspoon Oil of peppermint *

2 drops Food coloring

1/2 cup Popcorn -- popped
 

Preparation / Directions:


In a heavy saucepan put the water, sugar, corn syrup and butter. Cook over a moderate heat to 280~ on a candy thermomter. Add the oil and the food coloring. Stir well and pour over the popped corn. * You can use concentrated flavorings in place of the oil of peppermint
