Tart Shells - Mountain Fuel

Ingredients:


1/2 cup flour

1 tablespoon powdered sugar

1 dash salt

3 tablespoons butter or margarine

1 large egg yolk
 

Preparation / Directions:


Mix together flour, powdered sugar and salt. Cut in butter until mixture is uniformly crumbly. Stir in egg yolk. Press dough together; divide into two equal parts. Press pastry evenly into two 4 inch tart pans. Pierce bottom and sides all over with a fork. Bake in a gas oven at 425 degrees F. for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. Cool in pans on a rack or carefully remove shells to fill.
