Chiles Rellenos Queso

Ingredients:


6 medium mild green chiles

2 cups jack cheese

2 large egg yolk

2 large egg white

1 tablespoon flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon corn oil

1/4 cup taco sauce

1 cup lettuce
 

Preparation / Directions:


Stuff chiles with the grated cheese combine the yolks, flour, and salt-mix well gently fold in the whites heat 1-2 inches of oil to 360 degrees dip the chiles into the batter, allowing the excess to drip off place chiles into the hot oil and fry until golden turn and fry until golden on the other side remove to drain on a cooling rack and blot with paper towels arrange chiles on a bed of the shredded lettuce moisten with a small amount of the salsa roja or taco sauce serve hot
