Orange Yogurt Sherbet

Ingredients:


1 package unflavored gelatin

2 cups fresh orange juice

1 cup sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons orange rind -- grated

16 ounces plain yogurt
 

Preparation / Directions:


Makes about 1 1/2 quarts 1. Sprinkle gelatin over 1/2 cup orange juice in medium saucepan; place over low heat and stir constantly until gelatin dissolves, about 3 minutes. 2. Stir in sugar and salt; remove from heat; stir in remaining orange juice and orange rind. 3. Cool slightly; stir in plain yogurt. 4. Turn into can of 2- or 4-quart ice cream maker; insert dasher, cover and freeze according to manufacturer's directions. 5. Turn into container; cover and ripen about 2 hours in freeze
